Radio Path Studies

We specialize in the design and deployment of radio based SCADA systems. A solid data radio system starts with proper planning. By combining a detailed radio path studies with FCC frequency availability we are able to determine if radio communications are a feasible solution for our client. Our state-of-the-art radio path study software uses one second elevation data derived from the USGS national elevation dataset software to perform accurate line of sight assessment. We typically used the conservative Longely/Rice diffraction model to calculate the anticipated thermal fade margins that each of the respective SCADA sites will have. Our services include field testing to confirm the radio path studies, especially when the calculated thermal fade margins approach a low threshold.
