Wastewater Lift Station Electrical Design Services
City of Clearwater, MN
Preferred Controls provided professional electrical design services for the City of Clearwater’s main lift station. This site includes a 300 amp service to control two 20 HP, soft starter controlled pumps with emergency bypass contactors. A 100 KW, stationary generator provides emergency power through an automatic transfer switch which is integrated into the lift station control panel. Primary control of the pumps is based on a wet well level transducer with emergency float backup. The lift station was designed to tie into the City’s existing licensed radio communication based SCADA system.
